The Clayton Connection with Amy Callaghan Vol. 4
I have recently been asked about some donations to my campaign. I welcome these questions because transparency is essential to public trust.
Two contributors are owners of the commercial real estate company where I have worked for four years. Their support reflects confidence in my judgment, work ethic, and integrity. They have expressed no interest in local projects and in advance of my campaign announcement, advised me to avoid assignments that could create conflicts.
Another contribution came from someone I had not (and have not yet) met. I contacted the contributor and made clear that I would follow all applicable disclosure and recusal requirements if deemed applicable. The contribution was publicly reported as required by California law.
More than ¾ of my financial support comes from local residents committed to community, respect, and civility. I am not supported by a Political Action Committee, as some other candidates are, but instead by hardworking, passionate community members.
My work in commercial property management, municipal meetings, and public-agency coordination will inform a careful, transparent approach focused on fiscal stability, public safety, responsible planning, and preserving our community’s character. I do not intend to turn Clayton into a transportation hub or encourage needless development in the city my family and I have called home for 24 years.
I welcome respectful discussion about my positions. My priorities are listening to residents, planning responsibly, and preserving our community’s character.
